Carpet Bowls

We meet in the church hall from October to Easter, on Monday afternoons between 2 and 4 pm. We have two carpets which enable 16 bowlers to play. After an hour we stop for tea and biscuits, then play continues till 4 pm.

There are no age limits but mostly retired people attend because of our meeting time. At present, we have 21 members and our average attendance is 17 - 18. We have 2 members from the VAMW who come with a carer. Douglas socialises and Stuart is a valued member of one of the teams. Our bowlers are not all church members and we welcome anyone who would like a little activity, a cup of tea and a chat on a winter afternoon.
